Port Elizabeth East Football Association (PEEFA) started the season in style with a club management workshop at the VW Auto Pavilion boardroom in Kariega on Sunday.

According to PEEFA president, Luyanda Ncwadi, the objective was to capacitate the clubs and individuals.

“We decided that SAFA NMB president, Monde Mhletywa, should be the right person to be the facilitator because he has sound knowledge on management and administrative duties,” said Ncwadi.

“Furthermore, he was also an effective leader in regional football during his spell as a president.”

The areas that were covered were leadership and administration, constitution and executive duties, annual planning, financial management and budget, sponsorship and marketing, event organisation, and code of conduct.

“The LFA’s response was great. This is a great initiative that will assist in empowering and capacitating LFA leaders and administrators so that they can reach their aims and objectives,” said Ncwadi. “This will be an annual programme, from this induction to administration and leadership course, including other areas of concern, such as referees and coaching development.

“All in all, we as PEEFA are extremely happy that the programme was a huge success. Mhletywa conducted this workshop with distinction. I would to like express my gratitude to Mhletywa and all the participants.”
