GQEBERHA – Spring Day took on special significance for Pearson High School this year as the school marked its 100-year milestone with an act of kindness in the community.

The school’s Interact Club collected more than 100 bunches of flowers, which were delivered to patients and staff at Livingstone Hospital as part of its annual Spring outreach.

The annual initiative was made possible by the generosity of Pearsonites, who donated flowers to help bring a little joy to those at the hospital.

On 1 September, the Interact Committee spent the afternoon at Livingstone Hospital, sharing the joy of Spring by visiting patients and staff, delivering flowers and bringing a little extra kindness and cheerful conversation to their day.

“As we celebrate a century of Pearson tradition and community service, we are reminded that the true spirit of our school lives on through the difference we make in the lives of others,” the school shared on its Facebook page.

“A heartfelt thank you to all the generous Pearsonites who donated flowers and helped make this special outreach possible.”
