Mara Schoultz, who was the head girl of Pearson High School in 1951, recently celebrated her 90th birthday. Haldane Pienaar, the current principal of Pearson, paid a visit to take her a beautiful bunch of flowers, to congratulate her on her milestone birthday. Pearson will celebrate an important milestone in 2026, when the Summerstrand-based school has its 100th anniversary. Planning is already well underway to ensure that the school’s centenary in two years’ time will be something for all past and present Pearsonites to remember. Photo: Supplied
