RAYMOND Mhlaba Indoor Sports Centre was a hive of activity, when Oyama Kara Dojo hosted the successful tournament on Saturday, September 17.
According to the tournament organiser, Sensei Andiswa Mpiyane, the objective of the tournament was to keep youth in sport and promote the sport of karate. Clubs came from the Nelson Mandela Bay region, while Joza Karate Club from Makhanda also participated in the tournament.
Mpiyane said, “I am very happy that the tournament turned to be a resounding success. The students enjoyed themselves and the tournament was hassle-free. Everything went according to plan.”
