LOCAL non-profit organisation, Friends of Van Stadens, will host their annual open day, which also doubles as a family fun day, at the Van Stadens Wildflower Reserve on October 12.
The Friends of Van Stadens is a small group of volunteers that holds a fund-raiser once a year.
They use the proceeds during the year for the maintenance of the reserve.
This year’s programme will start with a 9km fun trail run at 08:00, followed by a 4km fun trail run/walk at 08:15, and mountain bike events starting at 10:00.
Entry to the 9km event is R50, while the 4km and mountain events are R30 each. Enter on the day.
There will also be an indigenous plant sale from 09:00 to 13:00 taking place.
Various stalls will offer refreshments and goodies. Patrons are invited to bring along a picnic basket and enjoy the day.
