The Algoa Bus Company, which operates in Nelson Mandela Bay, said in a statement that they will not be operating from Monday, 21 February due to the taxi strike.
Taxi operators in the Eastern Cape indicated they will embark on a strike from Monday.
“Algoa Bus Company regrets to advise that we will not be operating public service buses as from Monday, 21 February,” the company said in a statement.
“Unfortunately we will be unable to provide a service to our commuters for as long as the taxi strike continues. This decision has been taken to protect both our employees and passengers.
“We apologise for the inconvenience caused and thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
