Universal Accessibility and Disability Services (UADS), at Nelson Mandela University, recently empowered young minds when they gave back to the learners of Northern Lights School in Cotswold.

While handing over their donation of assistive devices to the school, Nosiphiwo Delubom, the head of the UADS, indicated that, as a university, it is part of their vision to give service to society.

Delubom said the collaborations they have with special schools are an effort to create access to education for learners with disabilities in schools and in institutions of higher learning.

“Working together will create more access for these learners as every learner has a right to education,” Delubom said.
