THE PE Express recently welcomed a new reporter, Kailin Daniels.
She was born and raised on the West Coast in Cape Town and started her journalism career at a very young age.
“My passion for writing and the media industry, in general, has led me to my first big break as a presenter on Radio Sonder Grense in 2013.”
She discovered her love for writing when she volunteered as a freelance writer for a local community newspaper. “I fell in love with words and knew that I had to pursue my newly discovered passion.”
Daniels followed her newfound passion and applied to study journalism at the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town.
“I love reading everything – from the back of every product bottle to the heart-warming novels of Danielle Steele. I enjoy crafting and simply cannot go a day without coffee.”
She describes herself as a socialite by nature and a journalist by heart.
“‘If your dreams don’t scare you, they are not big enough’… that is my philosophy in life and to always seize an opportunity with both hands.”
