NELSON Mandela University and NewMusicSA are collaborating on a New Music Indaba, which will be held in the South Campus Auditorium from October 5 to 7.
It promises to be an exciting programme with three evening concerts.
The aim of the indaba is to reflect on new concert music by composers who are either South African or have a strong connection with Africa and South Africa in particular.
There will be talks and workshops during the day which will serve as an introduction to the pieces being performed during the evening concerts and will provide an opportunity for attendees to ask the composers themselves questions about their work.
The New Music Indaba concerts will take place each evening at 19:30.
Entry to each concert is R50 per adult, R30 per pensioner and R20 for non-music students.
