Nelson Mandela Bay’s Pretty in Pink Ladies 5km, delivered an unforgettable Women’s Day celebration on Saturday, 9 August 2025, with thousands of women flooding King’s Beach in shades of vibrant pink under this year’s inspiring theme – Wildly Inspired.

From the moment the sun rose, the atmosphere was electric. Ladies of all ages arrived dressed to impress, transforming the beachfront into a moving wave of pink energy. Whether walking, jogging, or running, the shared spirit of unity, health, and celebration was evident from start to finish. The scenic 5km route showcased the beauty of our beachfront, with ladies cheered on by the Varsity College cheerleaders and ETA students, who kept spirits high every step of the way.

Celebrated MC Niqui Cloete-Barrass brought her trademark energy to the event, guiding participants through the morning’s activities and celebrations. The event village was alive with music, merchandise stalls, charity activations, and community engagement, ensuring the celebration continued long after the final lady crossed the line.

In keeping with its purpose-driven mission, the event once again raised significant awareness for its two beneficiary charities – Vision4Women and PinkDrive – making a meaningful difference in the lives of women across the region. The sale of official merchandise, from t-shirts and hoodies to tutus and PinkDrive accessories, was a highlight, with Fastway Couriers ensuring FREE local delivery for all pre-event orders.

“This year’s Pretty in Pink Ladies 5km Presented by Pick n Pay was everything we dreamed it could be and more,” said Race Director Carmen Bishop. “To see thousands of women come together – laughing, cheering, and supporting one another – is truly special. Our Wildly Inspired theme came alive in every moment, and I’m incredibly proud of what we achieved as a community.”

Zsports Events SA extends sincere thanks to all sponsors, partners, volunteers, and participants who contributed to making this year’s Pretty in Pink Ladies 5km Presented by Pick n Pay one of the most successful to date. The overwhelming support and turnout reaffirm the event’s standing as Nelson Mandela Bay’s flagship Women’s Day gathering.
