THE Eastern Cape’s dirtiest race is heading this way and excitement is starting to fill Port Elizabeth ahead of The Muck Run at Dawson’s Farm in Kragga Kamma on Sunday, May 20.

The event is guaranteed to put fun back into fun runs with a 3km kids (u/12) route and a 5km route which is designed to get participants as dirty as possible.

This fun obstacle run is achievable for the most social jogger with half a dozen or more exciting obstacles.

The kids’ run starts at 09:00 on Sunday, followed by the 5km muck run at 10:00 with great food vendors on site.

The run has also teamed up with the Rotary Club of Port Elizabeth Sunrise to collect all unwanted clothing, bedding and blankets ahead of the winter.

Participants are encouraged to bring all their unwanted goods with them on race day.

Entries are just R150 for the kids run and all the entrants who confirmed before the end of this month, will receive a branded head band. The 5km Muck Run is R200 and all the entrants who confirmed before the end of this month, will receive a branded Muck Run white T-shirt to run in.

Discounted group and corporate packages are also available as well as a family rate of R500 per family of four or more.

There is also a charge of R20 per vehicle onto the farm for participants and spectators. There are prizes from Woodlands Dairy, Powerade and Caltex Eastern Cape up for grabs for fun categories like best dressed, muddiest, most fun and best spirit.
