Mount Road Detectives are seeking the community’s assistance
in tracing a 54-year-old man that went missing approximately two weeks ago.
According to police information, Johan van Huysteen, from Joubertina,
was last seen at a bank in 4th Avenue, Newton Park in Nelson Mandela
Bay on January 23, 2021.
Police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said
that according to Van Huysteen’s wife, he was on his way to Humansdorp for
work. “She was in telephonic contact with him until January 23. Since then,
all contact has stopped,” Janse van Rensburg said.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist in locating
Van Huysteen, to urgently contact D/Sgt Stephine Joubert at Mount Road police
station on 083 527 566 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111. They can also visit their
nearest police station.
