Zavion Kotzé, well-recognised and celebrated floral designer, will be hosting three different fund-raising events on August 27 and 28 in aid of the Aurora Special Care Centre in Gqeberha.

This organisation provides services for children and adults with physical or intellectual disabilities. They have a stimulation centre, a residence, and a group home. The various programmes and therapy services provide optimal stimulation for its clients.

As an NGO, Aurora Special Care Centre receives minimal government support and fundraising events are therefore crucial to ensure that they can continue to provide quality services to their clients.

To raise the much-needed funds, they have planned an exciting floricultural fund-raising weekend.

Zavion, well known for his event management, wedding design and out-of-this-world flower arrangements (and Survivor fans may remember him for his stint on the show), will be hosting two events on Saturday, August 27.

The first is an exclusive and intimate flower school where a maximum of 20 attendees will have the opportunity to learn from this master, and the second is a gala dinner for 60 guests.

These two events will be held at the magnificent Our Farm Culture in Maitlands, where Chef Allan Bezuidenhout (Muse Restaurant) will be preparing the most exquisite meal for the dinner guests.

On Sunday, August 28, attendees can enjoy afternoon tea with Zavion at a flower and table demonstration which will be held at Slipperfields.

Riesl Fick, general manager of Aurora Special Care Centre said, “We aim to raise R100 000 for the special care centre and we are excited to host this fund-raising weekend.”
