THE Locally Yours Market has introduced a fresh change with a Friday night prelude to the existing Saturday event to cater for a wider audience.
The next Locally Yours Market is scheduled to take place this weekend, September 6 and 7, at the Tramways Building.
“Positive feedback from market goers sharing our passion for locally handmade products has motivated Locally Yours Market to introduce the Friday night session that will accommodate patrons looking for a space to relax after a long work week, students in search of a casual atmosphere to socialise or those who otherwise cannot attend on a Saturday,” advised market director, Annelize Botha.
The two-day spring celebration of handmade local crafts, food and music and Friday night market goers can expect the same display as the usual Saturday event, which includes delicious food treats from Vossie’s Deli, Mook’s, Ammina’s Fusion and @Karoo to name a few, alongside beverages supplied by Da Roca Pink Gin and Tonic and Groundfloor Café coffee.
An array of new vendors will be joining the spring edition of the market that provides a melting pot of handmade items ranging from jewellery, clothes, art, fresh produce, decor and more.
New additions include Abenna Naturals, Kefir Life, Lushi’s Designs, Mmmdelicious, Perfect Smoothie, Wendleberry Kids and Windgat Stencils.
Botha encouraged, “The ongoing support by citizens to embrace a local creative event that sustains entrepreneurs has been phenomenal and we encourage anyone who has not yet visited the market to step out this spring and share our passion.”
The Locally Yours Market continues to waive their entrance fee and have instead opted to ask for donations towards the Animal Anti-Cruelty League.
Visit the market, enjoy the creative offerings and enter a variety of competitions while supporting a good cause.
The next Locally Yours Market can be enjoyed on Friday, September 6, from 16:00-21:00 and Saturday, September 7, between 9:00-15:00 at the Tramways Building in Lower Valley Road.
