A man was shot multiple times after a shooting incident at Mercedes Benz-Maritime Motors in William Moffett late yesterday afternoon, July 6.
According to police spokesperson, Col. Priscilla Naidu, a white Toyota Corolla allegedly drove to the service reception area and a man alighted from the car, walked towards the victim, an employee who is approximately 20 years old and started shooting at him. He sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
“The suspect got back into the vehicle and drove off. It is further alleged that there were about three people in the vehicle, including the shooter. Police believe that the victim was the intended target. The suspects’ vehicle was later found burnt out on the side of Buffelsfontein Road in Walmer,” Naidu said.
At this stage the motive for the shooting is yet to be established. A case of attempted murder is under investigation.
