A man has died after a vehicle crashed into the vehicle that he was pushing on the R75 during the early hours of this morning, Sunday, March 27.
Police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, said that at approximately 01:30 this morning, a Honda Ballade vehicle with three occupants had a mechanical failure on the R75 in the vicinity of KwaDwesi. One of the three occupants got out and was pushing the vehicle to the side of the road when the accident happened.
“A female driver of a Tata Indica alleged that she did not see the vehicle and collided with the Honda Ballade. The man that was pushing the vehicle died on the scene,” Janse van Rensburg said.
The name of the deceased will only be released once the next-of-kin has been informed.
SAPS KwaDwesi detectives are investigating a culpable homicide. The investigation is ongoing.
