GQEBERHA – A 32-year-old was assaulted and gunned down in Gelvandale yesterday.
SAPS Gelvandale confirmed that they are investigating a case of murder following a shooting incident that took place yesterday, 12 October in Gelvandale.
According to a SAPS spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 02:20 yesterday, the deceased Chreswell Bruce (32) and four friends were driving a white Toyota when they stopped in Borchard Street, Gelvandale.
“While at the address, a red Volkswagen Polo stopped and a passenger got out and pulled the deceased from the vehicle.”
Janse Van Rensburg added that when he was pulled out of the vehicle, he was assaulted and shot in the face.
The motive and the suspects are unknown, and the investigation is ongoing.
