LOVELIFE, in partnership with Motherwell NU 7 school, Elufefeni Primary, organised a successful Youth-In-Action Schools Tournament at Elufefeni’s grounds on Wednesday.

LoveLife programme coordinator, Lulekwa Zwane, informed PE Express that the objective of the tournament was to keep the learners busy by living a healthy lifestyle and taking part in sport.

“This is part of youth development. Our programme is the platform that is used to unearth the talent. We want to develop the healthy young people through sport.

“I am very happy that the tournament went smoothly. We run this programme on a quarterly basis since we want to see our children active in sport,” Zwane said.

The four schools that took part were Elundini Primary, Ikhwezelihle Primary, Vezubuhle Primary and the hosts.

The programme was organised for U/13 and U/15 teams that played soccer and netball.

All the schools’ players that took part in the tournament received the certificate of participation while the winners received the floating trophies. The soccer finals will be played in term three.
