Locals shine at Planning Africa Awards

Two Gqeberha locals were recently honoured with prestigious awards at the Planning Africa Awards ceremony held in Johannesburg. The South African Planning Institute (SAPI) awarded the Regional Commitment Award to the Eastern Cape Western Region, while the Outstanding Planner Award was bestowed upon Owethu Pantshwa (right), Director from the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality (NMBM). Additionally, the South African Council of Planners (SACPLAN) recognised Maartje Weyers, from Route2EC, as the Woman Planner of the Year and also awarded her in the Advocate & Catalyst for Change Category.
