Lianae Petzer, in Grade 7 at Kabega Primary School, won the Pick n Pay Hero Award in the category Environmental Awareness for her continued involvement in recycling activities. She started to participate in environmental activities presented by the school during Grade 1. Kabega Primary was also awarded a WESSA (Wildlife and Environment Society South Africa) Decade Award for their 10-year involvement in the WESSA eco-schools programme. Photo:SUPPLIED
