THE Young Stars Soccer Academy, together with the Fairview Action Arena, have partnered up to build a league division for women’s football.
On Saturday, June 16, the ladies’ tournament will act as a preview of the league which will be launched next term.
Fairview Action Area Sports Director Matthew Potgieter said that the five-a-side league offers women a fun environment for playing sports.
“Individuals will get a chance to experience the extra dimensions of the game of football and also develop the primary skills needed such as short passing and quick thinking,” Potgieter said.
“The tournament seeks to break the formalities of the typical formal football club events and we look forward to attracting as many ladies as possible on a platform where they can showcase their skills, network and exchange knowledge.”
The tournament will start at 12:00 this Saturday at the Fairview Action Arena with free entry for the ladies.
