KUYASA United Brothers FC reminded their loyal supporters that they were once an unrivaled side in Nelson Mandela Bay, as they managed to collect six points in their two games played during the Zwide Football Association (ZWIFA) Marina Sea Salts Premier League. The matches took place at Zwide Stadium and at Zwide Celtics Grounds, on Saturday and Sunday.
Gerber, as Kuyasa are known by football fans, tamed Hungry Lions after they defeated them 2–0 during their encounter at Zwide Stadium on Saturday. The Soweto-on-Sea-based side worked their socks off when they earned a hard-fought 2–1 victory over Real Crusaders at Zwide Celtics Grounds on Sunday.
Young Brothers supporters cheered in the stands of Zwide Stadium when their side disappointed the gutsy Amadamara FC in their 1–0 hard-win during their Saturday match.
Brothers also registered a 3–3 draw when they took on their neighbours, Alaska FC, at Zwide Celtics on Sunday.
Zwide Pirates managed to achieve a hard-earned 1-0 win during their match against Morning Stars at Zwide Stadium on Saturday. Strikers United had the better of Gal City in their 4–1 win at the same venue.
Real Crusaders defeated Alaska FC 2–1, while ZWIFA Marina Sea Salts Premier League reigning champions, Shining Stars, claimed a well-deserved 4–2 win from their neighbours, Umanyano Stars, at Zwide Celtics on Sunday.
Real Crusaders restored their dignity in their 2–1 win over Alaska FC, with Gal City overcoming Morning Stars 2–1 at Zwide Celtics Grounds, also on Sunday.
