A TOTAL of 8 000 delegates are expected to attend the three-day annual Jehovah’s Witnesses convention from Friday to Sunday, October 19 to 21.
The programme will be held at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, as well as at venues in 180 different lands. This year’s theme is “Be Courageous!”
The convention is designed to help children in school, to improve family life, and to assist those in the workplace to work more productively.
As in previous years, the Witnesses are participating in a global campaign to invite the general public to attend the programme free of charge.
The three-day programme consists of 54 presentations that will include talks, audio dramas, interviews and short videos. Additionally, a feature film entitled The Story of Jonah—A Lesson in Courage and Mercy will be shown on the final day of the programme.
Large LED screens will be erected at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium so that those in the audience can enjoy the programme in their preferred language, whether English, isiXhosa, Afrikaans or sign language.
The convention will start each day at 09:20.
