According to spokesperson, Siya Ndzimande, when they postponed this year’s Ironman African Championship triathlon from its original date of March 29, to November 15, and the Isuzu Corporate Triathlon Challenge, from March 28, to November 14, they felt very confident that they would still be able to deliver an exceptional event.
“Unfortunately, due to reasons related to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, and further conversations with the local authorities, we regret to advise that the Ironman African Championship cannot take place in 2020,” said Ndzimande.
Ironman African Championship will return on March 14, 2021, and the Isuzu Corporate Triathlon Challenge will return on March 13, 2021.
