A homeowner was attacked with a panga in her Kunene Park home during a house robbery early this morning, 3 May.
According to Captain André Beetge, police spokesperson, it is alleged that the complainant woke up around 02:00 when three suspects, armed with a panga and knives, broke into her home in Needham Road, and who already reached her bedroom. They were allegedly wearing balaclavas.
“They told her to keep quiet and proceeded to steal a flat screen TV, a laptop, two cell phones and a Playstation. She apparently was involved in an altercation with one of the suspects who wounded her with a panga under her left arm, which left an open wound,” Beetge said.
The suspects left the house after taking the above goods.
“A house robbery case was opened and being investigated by SAPS Kabega Park.”
