NELSON Mandela Bay side Highbury FC saw their unbeaten record come to an abrupt end after they were overcome 2–1 by Matta Milan in a ABC Motsepe League Stream B clash at Ngumbela Stadium in Butterworth, on Saturday.

Highbury faced Milan which has been campaigning in the provincial semi-professional league for many seasons. Despite their recent loss, Highbury are still the log leaders.

Highbury have played the same seven matches as Milan and both have 18 league points, but Highbury have scored 18 goals compared to Milan’s 13 since the start of the league season.

Highbury will face FC Siyanda at Mount Frere on Saturday.

Another Nelson Mandela Bay side, Peace Makers, had to dig deep in their 3–2 win against Camdeboo Football Academy Development during their Stream A game at Botanic Gardens Sports Grounds in Aliwal North on Saturday.

Addo-based outfit Bush Pirates secured a 1–1 draw against Amaxesibe during their Steam B clash at Mt Ayliff Stadium on Saturday as well.
