The Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit are on the hunt for a suspect following the murder of security guard, Watson Ridgeley (30) who was shot on September 2, in Perseverance.
According to police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 14:15, at the corners of M14 and Kohler Street, Perseverance, SAPS Swartkops responded to a complaint of a shooting.
She said that on arrival they found the private security vehicle, a Nissan NP200, had collided with another stationary vehicle.
