Gqeberha police are seeking the next of kin after a male body washed ashore at the Beachview Resort yesterday, February 10.

According to police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 12:20, SAPS Kabega Park attended to a complaint at the Beachview Resort on Beachview Road, in Beachview.

She said that upon arrival, members noticed the deceased lying on his back on the beach.

“The victim is unknown at this stage, and there are already signs of decomposition,” she added.

She further stated that the deceased is not the same person who presumably drowned over the weekend.
