The Family Violence, Child Protection, and Sexual Offences unit in Gqeberha is seeking the community’s assistance in tracing suspects linked to allegations of house robbery and rape that occurred on the morning of October 19 in Missionvale.
According to police spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse Van Rensburg, it is alleged that on October 19, at approximately 01:30, the 35-year-old victim was at home at GG Grounds, Missionvale.
“While she was sleeping, she heard a noise in the house. Two suspects entered the house and demanded cell phones,” said Janse Van Rensburg.
“One of the suspects raped the complainant and then left the house.”
Janse Van Rensburg said that a case of house robbery and rape was opened at SAPS Algoa Park, and the investigation is ongoing.
She further mentioned that an identikit of the alleged suspects was compiled.
