Gqeberha girl receives much-needed spectacles

Olwethu Vimbi (right), a learner at the Urban Academy in Central, founded Ama2K for Change, an organisation focused on distributing sanitary towels to underprivileged girls at schools in Gqeberha. Recently Vimbi, together with her friends, Uthembelihle Sonandi (second from right) and Kazimla Mvinjelwa (left) helped Azasakhe Lupuwana (second from left), a learner at Spencer Mabija Combined School in KwaMagxaki get much-needed spectacles. ‘Ama2K for Change would like to give a heartfelt thank you to everyone who pitched in to make this a reality,’ said Vimbi. ‘Azasakhe will now be able to see at school again.’ Photo:SUPPLIED
