After 100 years on earth, five children, 13 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren, Gqeberha’s Louisa Higgo, born March 11, 1924, is grateful for life. Her hobbies include knitting slippers and reading ‘PE Express’ on a Wednesday. She now lives with her daughter, Jeannette Harrison, in the Methodist retirement village. When asked what has kept her going for so long, she said she always keeps herself busy, does not hate anyone, but loves everyone instead. She loves the Lord, and spends Sundays watching a church service online. Photo: Supplied
