HUMANSDORP – Five suspects were arrested over the weekend, and are due to appear in Humansdorp Magistrate’s Court today, 2 February, for their alleged involvement in the murder of Deon Du Toit (60), whose body was found on a farm outside Humansdorp on 27 January.
As previously reported, at about 01:30 on 27 January, police were summoned to a complaint of robbery at a farm along the R102.
At the scene they found the lifeless body of a man with open wounds.
According to police spokesperson Warrant Officer Majola Nkohli, the five male suspects aged between 22 and 37 were found in possession of items that were presumably stolen during the attack.
“The suspects were charged with murder, house robbery, and possession of suspected stolen property,” said Nkohli.
