CON.ECT, in partnership with the Nelson Mandela University Department of Media and Communication, Just Yaz PR, and the Rocking Rabbit Café, presents an exciting new addition to the Gqeberha geek repertoire, with the first instalment of a live performance of the fantasy table top role-playing game, Dungeons & Dragons.

The event, titled ‘Crit with Con.ect’, will follow the Dungeon Master and his team of adventurers as they take the audience on a voyage into the depths of Logoria Castle on Saturday, October 29. The journey will take place from 16:00 to 21:00 at the Rocking Rabbit Café, which is situated at 52 Worracker Street, Newton Park.

Owner of the Rocking Rabbit Café, Steven John Ovens, said that they are very excited to host this historic event.

“We are also happy that we are doing something unique and new to Gqeberha. From my perspective, I am also nervous because I am one of the players, but overall I am excited and I look forward to the upcoming event,” said Ovens.

Owner of Just Yaz PR, Yasmin Theron, said that with the live audience event, they wish to bring out more of the fun for experienced players and create a new or renewed interest in the D&D realm.

“Additionally, more interest is being shown in table top role playing games these days and we hope to broaden this knowledge as well as to bring back groups who have been playing for a number of years,” said Theron.

“We hope that Gqeberha is ready for the first of many Dungeons & Dragons live role playing events. The event will have lucky draw prizes and a prize for the best dressed, so be sure to dress up within the D&D realm,” said NMU Department of Media and Communication HoD and organiser of Con.ect, Dr Janelle Vermaak-Griessel.

Tickets are available for R70, which include one complimentary coffee per ticket. WhatsApp 084 714 2743 for tickets as there are limited seats available.
