FOUR days of festive joy await at the Locally Yours Christmas Market, taking place at the Tramways Building from December 14 to 17.
Alongside the handcrafted items and deli products, Santa Claus will bring Christmas cheer to the market for photo opportunities. There will also be a wrapping station in aid of the Animal Anti-Cruelty League.
A variety of carols and popular musical tributes will be performed by Kelly le Roux during the lunch hour on each market day.
To embrace the holiday spirit and encourage creative family time, Madzmade will have gingerbread house kits for sale, which can be easily baked and built as part of a festive holiday activity.
A wide variety of gourmet food and craft drinks have become part of the heart and soul of the Locally Yours Market.
Food with Thought, have added to the service offering with an option of having Christmas meals delivered to your door during the busy holiday season.
The festive holiday market will include special edition arts and decor, such as sewn and embroidery Christmas decorations by Doreen, a baby and children’s holiday clothing range by Wendleberry’s, as well as an array of toy and gift ideas such as the candle making kits from Bay Candle Company.
S&A Screen-print offers a variety of creative gift ideas ranging from printed aprons, quirky bags, tea towels and T-shirts, while Calm Jewellery offers unique pieces from bracelets, rings, necklaces and earrings.
Locally Yours Market director, Annelize Botha, said, “This season it is all about bringing joy to locals and visitors of Nelson Mandela, which is also the motivation behind the decision to extend the monthly one-day market to a four–day event that will showcase the talent of local entrepreneurs and provide local entertainment.”
The market continues to waive their entrance fee and has instead opted to ask for donations towards the Animal Anti-Cruelty League.
