GELVAN Turf Fields were an action-packed venue for the Northern Areas Football Association (NAFA) Fain Valentine Brink Cup’s premier top eight games on Sunday.
Fairdene lost to Helenvale United 3–1. West Lake won against Saints 5–4 on penalties. Blackpool went down 2–0 to Hotspurs. Park United registered a 4–1 victory over Glenville Celtic.
At the NAFA Fain Valentine Brink Cup Reserves top eight games on Saturday, Park United knocked out Blackpool 1–0. Glenville Celtic won 3–2 against Bloem Stars. Saints got a 2–0 triumph over Stardrift. Fairdene advanced to the semi-finals after they won 3–0 on penalties.
