Face of the Bay, known as the organisation that not only empowers women and men, but also changes the ordinary to extraordinary, plans to host their semi-final event on May 3, with the venue Space Unlimited in North End.

Brand ambassador and co-founder, Candice Heynes, said that transparency and consistency are key, and she has certainly kept her word by adhering to these principles.

As part of the exciting times ahead for Face of the Bay, the organisation will be hosting their semi-final in partnership with Bay FM 107.9.

Heynes said,

I am proud that we were able to line up sponsorships in just three months of the entries opening.

Sponsors for the event include Fabiani – Greenacres Mall, Foschini – Greenacres, Edgars – Baywest, Mac – Baywest, and Pongracz and Inkpressive Vinyl in Malabar.

Doors open at 19:00 and a limited number of tickets are available for R120.

In addition to their exciting event, Heynes said that in less than a month after closing the entries for the Face of the Bay, on March 5, contestants handed over a donation to David Livingstone High School’s Vocational Training Department.

Some of the items donated included brand-new products such as hairdryers, nail sets, brushes, combs, and a mannequin.

“This is one of many to come,” said Heynes.

Principal John Draai said the school appreciated the donation.

He also thanked Face of the Bay and its contestants for their passion and commitment to changing the lives of others in need.

Heynes said that entries for the Little Miss Face of the Bay have opened, with the pageant event expected to take place at Baywest Mall in August this year, with a date yet to be confirmed.

She said that the age category for the contestants is from five to 12-years-old, with registration priced at R200 per entry.

Entries for Little Miss Face of the Bay will close on June 30.

Face of the Bay is available on Facebook and Instagram.
