Essen School of Karate Marks 30 Years with Grand Ultimate Karate Championship

The Essen School of Karate is proudly commemorating 30 years of dedicated service to the community by hosting the Ultimate Karate Championship on June 1 at the Malabar Community Hall starting at 9:00 am. This event will celebrate three decades of inspiring and motivating the youth from all over.

The championship will feature teams competing for a sponsored grand prize of R5000.

The Essen School of Karate, renowned for its commitment to fostering talent and nurturing champions, aims to inspire a new generation of martial artists through the UK C tournament run by the second generation of Essens.

This groundbreaking event not only promises exhilarating matches but also endeavors to support karate students financially. Paving the path for them to pursue their dreams while elevating the sport’s status from local to international prominence.

Participants will compete in the category, Kumite (sparring), demonstrating their mastery of technique, agility, and mental fortitude.

The community of Port Elizabeth, especially the Northern Areas has played an instrumental role in this journey.

Their unwavering support, guidance, and mentorship have been pivotal in the success of the school and the personal growth of the students.

“We are deeply grateful to our community,” said Sensei Hezaron Essen, the head instructor at the Essen School of Karate.

“The Karate’s School dedication to help, support, and mentoring our children has been invaluable. We have looked at each child’s ability and nurtured them into great leaders,” continued Essen.
