THREE EP tenpin bowling teams participated at the Tenpin Bowling Association of South Africa interprovincial tournament in Pretoria last week.
The gold division team snatched bronze in the 5 man team event. The seniors won silver in the singles, bronze in the team and trios. The silver squad took silver in the doubles, bronze in the singles and trios. EP president and national bowler, Garreth Hechter (5,235 pins), was placed tenth out of 36 participants in the gold division individual standings.
In the seniors’ rankings, Phelele Booi (5,336) snatched silver, Gerrie du Preez (5,261) was placed fourth and EP vice president Leon Cilliers (5,061) ended in ninth position. Silver squad captain Gordon Bessinger (5,812) was second while tenth-placed Kaylee Hechter shone in her first interprovincial with a pitfall of 5,481.
