ENGIE Peakers Operations (Pty) Ltd made a difference at WB Tshume Primary School in Kwazakhele when they delivered office equipment to them recently.
Facility manager James Classen and his staff surprised the school when they came to the school to deliver the principal’s desk and two staffroom tables. According to Classen, the office equipment was just a gesture to the school.
“When I came to WB Tshume Primary School on August 14 to see how best our company can assist the school, I saw that the school had lots of challenges that needed to be addressed. This is just a gesture for the school. It is our pleasure to assist in a small way to say thanks to the teachers for what they do for our children.”
WB Tshume Primary School Deputy Principal Liziwe Kate stated that he met Classen in the school’s environment competition in July where she told him to come and see the conditions at her school.
“I requested Mr Classen to come and see for himself the way things are at our school. Classen fulfilled his promises as he came to our school. Classen said that he would inform us shortly how his company would assist our school. I am very happy about this gesture that Engie Peakers Operations (Pty) Ltd has made possible to our school,” Kate said.
The headmaster, Selby Madikane, thanked Classen and his company for lending a hand to the less fortunate school.
“On behalf of WB Tshume Primary School, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to you, Mr Classen, and Engie Peakers Operations (Pty) Ltd for taking a chance on our school. My office and the staffroom have a new attractive look because of Engie Peakers Operations (Pty) Ltd’s gesture. May God bless you and your company,” Madikane said.
“I would like to give credit to Mrs Kate. She held the talks with Mr Classen. She has added value to this school since her arrival. Lots of positive things happen here because of the deputy principal together with the staff. Kate is an asset to the school and a hard worker,” said Madikane
