The vibrant energy of Women’s Day is set to bloom along the scenic shores of Nelson Mandela Bay with a celebration of womanhood, and ladies from all walks of life are invited to stride along the beachfront in the third Pretty in Pink Ladies’ 5km, basking in health, camaraderie, and the spirit of giving back, on August 9.
With a commitment to uniting women through movement and mutual support, the Pretty in Pink Ladies’ 5km, hosted at the picturesque Boardwalk Mall, features a flat, easy 5km route perfect for both seasoned runners or walkers, and those embarking on their fitness journey.
To add to the excitement, weekly social media competitions are being hosted on the PrettyInPinkLadies5km Facebook page, offering fantastic prizes.
From fitness gear to spa vouchers and exclusive event experiences, the prizes are designed to celebrate and reward participants. Follow the event on Facebook, and engage with posts, to be one of the winners.
Facebook prizes have been donated by Ditsem, Brian Bands, Milky Lane, Nails by Madeleine, Bold & Brave Hair Studio, Kiekielief Photography, and ZBrands South Africa.
The excitement of the event is certainly not only on the road.
The first 3 000 early entrants will be rewarded with a goodie-bag and race t-shirt, and the website offers an array of memorabilia with free local delivery of merchandising orders through Fastway Couriers.
If you haven’t already secured your spot, join the movement and register on the internet at www.zsports.co.za/ladies5km.
Race Director, Carmen Bishop, of Zsports Events SA, is encouraging all participants to embrace the event’s spirit with flair.
“Ladies, it’s time to start planning your pink outfits for race day! Let’s strive to paint the city pink this Women’s Day and make a bold statement of unity and empowerment,” said Bishop.
Charities being supported through this event include Vision4Women, Look Good Feel Better Foundation, and Pink Drive.
Any local companies interested in advertising or activations can contact Bishop on events@zsports.co.za or 041 484 7860.
Join the Pretty in Pink Ladies 5km as they lace up their tekkies, paint the town pink, and run with purpose.
Together, you can make every step count towards a brighter, healthier future for women everywhere.
