The Eastern Cape Children’s Choir, with conductor, Marilise van Rooyen, hosted their biggest Bamba and Friends Choir Festival on Saturday, June 8 at Kabega Primary School.
There were two concerts during the day, with just over 1 000 choristers from all over the Nelson Mandela Bay Metro took part in this festival.
According to a media statement by Eastern Cape Children’s Choir, the purpose of this festival is for choristers to enjoy each other’s performances and strive to be a part of the Eastern Cape Children’s Choir and the Eastern Cape Junior Children’s Choir!
“The junior choirs had a mass choir item where they all held their own teddies and entertained the audience with the Teddy Bears Picnic by J Kennedy, J Bratton (Arranged by A Carter),” the statement said.
“The senior choirs also entertained the audience with “Music is my Life” by Eugene Butler.
