New Brighton detectives are on the hunt for a suspect that callously shot and killed a 30-year-old e-hailing taxi driver in
Madala Street, New Brighton yesterday.
According to police spokesperson, Capt. Sandra Janse van Rensburg, it is alleged that at approximately 17:30, when police
responded to a complaint of a shooting, they found a blue Suzuki
Swift vehicle stationery in the street. The driver, identified as Garrison
Snayers, was found seated in the vehicle with multiple gunshot
wounds.
The owner of the vehicle said that Snayers worked for him, operating as an e-hailing taxi service.
“The motive for the murder and the identity of the suspect is unknown at this stage,” Janse van Rensburg said.
Police are appealing to anyone who can assist with any information to urgently
