THE Community Chest Winter Woolly Drive kicked off recently and they have already reached out to a number of people to spread winter warmth.

Community Chest, along with their main sponsor, Caltex Eastern Cape, and Atlas visited the residents of Ikhaya McNamee Old Age Home in Walmer to donate a few gifts.

“We appeal to the public to take the time in this inclement weather to do a closet clear-out and donate any unwanted items to our winter woolly drive.

“They will be appreciated by somebody in need,” said Community Chest EC public relations officer, Colette Theron.

Donations can be dropped off at the nearest Caltex Service Station or at the Community Chest offices at 126 2nd Avenue, Newton Park.

The campaign will continue collecting items and ensuring it fulfils its mission by helping those in need during the winter months.
