Music Bingo: The Music Kitchen is hosting a music bingo for Cheshire Home Summerstrand on November 14. The Terrific trio of talent – Tommo, Rob and Roger – will be getting you singing and rocking to popular hits over the decades. Annual Bonsai Show: The EP Bonsai Society’s annual show will take place on November 23 to 24at the German Club, Lorraine. For a change, some of the members will be designing there own displays. Night Market: African Sky’s Pirates of the Caribbean Night Market will take place on Friday, November 29 from 17:00 to 21:00. Free entry for guests. Meet Jack Sparrow and join the treasure hunt. Christmas Picnic and Market: In a joint venture with Mowbray NG Kerk, the Newton Park SCF will host a community picnic at the Newton Park Primary sports field on November 30 from 14:00 to 20:00. Bring your baskets, blankets, family and friends. There will be food, vendors, a jumping castle, a visit from Santa and more. Tickets for the Christmas Raffle are available from Glen Hurd Supermarket, Mowarama, the Toy Museum in Worraker Street, Nautical Sports in Shirley Street, Percy at Newton Park Primary. The HalaalSoukPE: The indoor market will take place at the Malabar Community Centre on Sunday, December 1 and run from 10:00 to 17:00. There will be clothing plants, food stalls, home décor, collectables, Islamic clothing, art and jewellery and authentic and traditional eats and treats. Stall bookings are open at a nominal fee. Candlelighting: The Compassionate Friends – Child Loss Support Group will be having their yearly candlelighting on December 6 in memory of their babies/children who have passed. The event will take place at the Lorraine Full Gospel Church on the corner of Luneville and Van Eck Street, Lorraine. A light snack, beverage, a candle and a programme for the evening will be provided. There will be a special guest speaker. Entry is free for members. Gqeberha Central Men’s Shed: They meet every Wednesday from 10:00 to 12:00 at The Athenaeum, Athol Fugard Terrace (Belmont Terrace), between Castle Hill and Military Road, opposite the Supreme Court. A men’s shed is a space where men can relax, get together to talk, work together, have a cup of coffee, and make friends. All ages are welcome. Hi’s Place Developing Centre: They have a church service every Sunday morning at 09:00 and a healing service every first and third Saturday night of the month at 17:00.
