Beach Clean-up: The Algoa Bay Branch of WESSA and Zwartkops Conservancy, are joining forces for a beach clean-up at Bluewater Bay swimming beach on Saturday, May 25, from 09:30 to 10:30.

To get there, driving from the city side along the N2, take the Bluewater Bay off-ramp and then turn right at the stop street, where it meets Weinronk Way. Drive straight to the end of Weinronk Way and then turn into the swimming beach parking area. Bags are supplied.

Boot Sale/Market Day: St Peter’s Congregational Church, Walter Road, Charlo, will have their monthly event on Saturday, May 25, until 13:00. Entry for sellers is R50. Sellers set up from 08:00, and shopping starts at 09:00. Eats, refreshments, clothes, bric-a-brac, and toys will be sold. Entertainment is by a local artist. Auction Charity: The Sunday School at St Peter’s Congregational Church, Walter Road, Charlo, invites sellers and buyers to a movable goods auction on Saturday, May 25, at 10:00. Art in the Park: A market will be held on Sunday, May 26, at St George’s, Central, from 09:00 to 13:00. There will be craft, art, food, and bric-a-brac, as well as live music. Stalls are free to children and charities. Children are encouraged to bring along for sale unwanted books, craft works, and toys. Re-Seconds Market: The market will take place on Sunday, May 26, at the Walmer Town Hall. Vendors will sell clothing, food, home decor, antique collectables and jewellery. U3A PE: They are celebrating 20 years. Meetings are designed to be interesting and stimulating for retired folks and those who are at home during the day. St. Thomas Senior Secondary Reunion: Calling all alumni! The school will host the grandest high school reunion ever on June 29, to reminisce and celebrate our shared history.
