CHOC Childhood Cancer Foundation, in collaboration with Pop-Up Cinema and Slipperfields Wedding and Conference Venue, will host their first annual fundraising event in October.

CHOC PE strives to aid children who are treated for cancer by providing on-site support at Provincial Hospital’s Paediatric Oncology Unit. They currently support about 50 children. They also provide core support, care and counselling for children and their families to manage the various phases of their critical treatment. CHOC is primarily funded by donations received from corporate companies and individuals.

“We went the extra mile in making this splendid event a rewarding one by offering our sponsors a unique and exciting way to advertise,” said Lynne Gadd-Claxton, CHOC PE branch coordinator.

Pop-Up Cinema EC specialises in advertising and marketing and have agreed to provide each sponsor advertising space on their gigantic screen for a mutually agreed period.

It will be a day filled with locally brewed gin, wine and beer, food pairing and tasting sessions, boeresport activities for the whole family, indoor and outdoor activities such as market stalls, food trucks, competitions, lucky draws, cow milking and much more.

A sunset picnic and outdoor movie under the stars at the Pop-Up Cinema event will be a fitting end to the day.

CHOC’s Gigantic Get-together Go Gold will take place at Slipperfields Wedding and Conference Venue on October 20 from 12:00.
