CHESHIRE Home will be hosting their annual golf day on October 5, at the Humewood Golf Club.

Fun was had last year, and this year promises to be double the fun. Cheshire Home’s manager, Deidre Burger, said the non-profit organisation home depended mainly on volunteers and donors to make a difference through the support of such events.

“Through helping us to make a difference, we are able to ensure a positive impact for the benefit of our residents, and the disabled children of Khaya Cheshire.

“Our residents enjoy sport, and Graeme Whale Golf kindly supports them through weekly lessons. They are really looking forward to showcasing their talent at the golf day,” said Burger.

Registration will start at 11:00 and tee off time (shotgun start) at 12:00. A prize-giving ceremony will also be held at 18:15.

Prizes will be awarded to the top teams, nearest to pin, longest drive and a lucky draw will also be held.

The entry fee is R400 per person or R1 600 for a four-ball, which includes green fees, a goodie bag and dinner.

Ticket prices do not include golf carts. Cart bookings can be made directly with the Humewood Golf Club.
