ALL roads lead to Babs Madlakane Hall in KwaNobuhle on March 11 when Silindokuhle Boxing Promotions, in partnership with Department of Sport, Recreation, Arts and Culture (DSRAC), will host the Eastern Cape vacant middle-weight bout over 10 rounds.
According to Silindokuhle Boxing promoter, Sibongile Kebe, the Eastern Cape vacant middle-weight title fight will be between the Gqeberha challenger, Durandt Verwey, and the Scenery Park challenger, Odwa Gaxa, over 10 rounds.
Kebe stated that the two title contenders are ready for non-stop action, set to attract many supporters to Babs Madlakane in Kariega on Saturday.
There is also a six-round main supporting bout where Gqeberha lad, Ayanda Gangqa, faces Plettenberg Bay boxer, Nwabisile Cholani, in the junior bantam division over six rounds. In the catch weight six rounder, Thabang Molefi from Plettenberg Bay, takes on Ndikho Nyebe from Ndevana.
Other boxing fights will be as follows:
- Lightweight, 6 rounds: Lubabalo Bokuva (Makhanda) vs Mbuyiseli Ndukwana (Plettenberg)
- Female super middle weight, 4 rounds: Lunje Makosi (Gqeberha) vs Emily Kabwalo (Zimbabwe)
- Junior flyweight, 4 rounds: Liyema Bolo (Gqeberha) vs Athanathi Mxoli (Duncan Village)
- Featherweight, 4 rounds: Thabiso Zonke (Gqeberha) vs Xhanti Payi (Gqeberha)
Kebe indicated doors open at 14:00 and entry is R60 per adult, with the children paying R20 entrance fee, each.
