THE saying by analysts of the beautiful game that ball possession does not result in victory came true this weekend, as it happened to Bisho Stars FC, when they lost 1-0 at home to Seven Stars FC during ABC Motsepe League game at Motherwell NU2 Stadium on Saturday, despite dominating possession.

The homeside took the game to the opponents who were under huge pressure. Bisho failed on many occasions to convert their glorious opportunities into goals.

The Komani boys were disciplined and did not concede any needless mistake in defence.

The visitors were awarded a penalty, which was scored by Fuzo Zantsi, in the 48th minute.

In the 67th minute, Seven Stars could have increased their lead to 2-0, after their left full-back, Nasiphi Bhanayi, delivered a long volley from the set piece that goalkeeper Zamikhaya Yokwe parried over his goals.

In the 78th minute, Simamkele Dudley Pefile’s shot that could have made the scoreline level, went wide, with goalkeeper, Athenkosi Sinethe, well beaten by the Bisho left winger.

Lion City FC earned revenge as they secured an all-important 1-0 away victory when they faced Bush Pirates at Samkelisizwe Ground in Addo on Saturday.
