BISHO Stars played their hearts out when they played to a 1-1 draw against Bush Bucks during their ABC Motsepe League home game at Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Saturday.

Stars came to the game motivated, after overcoming SUBS 2-1 at the Motherwell NU 2 Stadium on Wednesday.

However, Stars played an exciting game which they took to the visitors. Bucks played long balls, which did not bother the home team.

The visitors nearly scored an opening goal in the 27th minute, in the run of play, but their striker, Anda Linose, shot wide with Stars goalkeeper, Lukhanyo July, covering the near post.

The home side duo, Bubele Singqoto and Phiwokuhle Mareledwane, played good combination moves in the centre of the park.

Stars scored from the penalty spot, courtesy of July, in the 56th minute penalty, after Mareledwane was kicked in the box.

Stars suffered a heavy blow after their midfielder, Singqoto, was red-carded following his second yellow card in the 71st minute.

Bucks introduced their super substitute, Sibongakonke Mkhencele, who was very influential to his side. With only 10 minutes left, Bucks replied with an equaliser that was scored by the Motherwell-born player, Thabiso Minana.
